1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and DebtZero ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the DebtZero mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using DebtZero, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including those using the free version and those who purchase DebtZero Premium features.

2. License to Use

2.1 Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the DebtZero App on your iOS device for your personal, non-commercial use.

2.2 License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any commercial purpose or revenue generation
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or redistribute the App
• Use the App in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks

2.3 App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the App Store Terms, the App Store Terms shall prevail.

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 Personal Use Only

DebtZero is intended for personal debt tracking and financial management only. You may not use the App:

• To manage debts or finances for others in a professional capacity
• As part of a business service offering
• To provide financial advice or services to third parties
• In connection with any illegal activity

3.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the App to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others
• Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Attempt to bypass any security features
• Use automated tools to access the App

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accuracy of Information

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all financial data you enter into the App, including:

• Debt balances and interest rates
• Payment amounts and dates
• Budget categories and amounts
• Currency selections and preferences

We do not verify the accuracy of your data. The App's calculations and projections are only as accurate as the information you provide.

4.2 Data Backup

While we implement security measures, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining backups of your data (use export feature or iCloud sync)
• Protecting your device with a passcode or biometric authentication
• Keeping your iOS software updated
• Securing your Apple ID and iCloud account

4.3 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use DebtZero. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4.4 Device Compatibility

You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum system requirements for the App. We recommend:

• iOS 15.0 or later
• Compatible iPhone or iPad
• Sufficient storage space
• Active internet connection for premium purchases and ads (free version)

5. Premium Features & Purchases

5.1 Free Features

The basic version of DebtZero is free and includes:

• Unlimited debt tracking
• Payment recording and history
• Progress tracking and charts
• Payment reminders and notifications
• Basic reports and analytics

Note: The free version displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob.

5.2 Premium Features

DebtZero Premium is available as a one-time in-app purchase and includes:

• Ad-Free Experience: Remove all advertisements
• Budget Management: Create and track unlimited budget categories
• Advanced Analytics: Detailed charts, reports, and insights
• Data Export: Export your data in JSON format
• Priority Support: Faster response to support requests
• Future Premium Features: Access to all future premium additions

5.3 Purchase Terms

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law
• Premium access is tied to your Apple ID and syncs across your devices
• One-time purchase provides lifetime access (no subscription)

5.4 Refunds

All purchases are final. If you believe you're entitled to a refund:

• Contact Apple Support directly (purchases are managed by Apple)
• Reference Apple's refund policies for in-app purchases
• Contact us at support@debtzero.app if you need assistance

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the price of DebtZero Premium at any time. Price changes will not affect users who have already purchased Premium.

6. Disclaimers & Limitations

6.1 Not Financial Advice

You should:

• Consult with qualified financial professionals for personalized advice
• Verify all calculations independently
• Make financial decisions based on your own research and professional guidance
• Understand that debt payoff projections are estimates, not guarantees

6.2 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of calculations or projections
• Warranties that data will not be lost or corrupted

6.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Financial losses resulting from use of the App
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid for Premium features (if applicable)

6.4 Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or rely on third-party services (e.g., Apple services, Google AdMob). We are not responsible for:

• The content or practices of third-party services
• Any loss or damage from your use of third-party services
• Changes to third-party services that affect the App

6.5 Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that:

• Interest calculations are exact (use for estimation only)
• Payoff projections will match actual results
• Currency conversion rates (if added) are current
• The App is suitable for all financial situations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

All rights, title, and interest in the App, including but not limited to:

• Software code and algorithms
• User interface design and graphics
• App name, logo, and branding
• Documentation and help content

are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to the financial data you enter into the App. We claim no ownership of your data. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store your data locally on your device
• Process your data to provide App functionality
• Sync your data to iCloud (if you enable this feature)

7.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without compensation or attribution.

8. Termination

8.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time by:

• Deleting the App from your device
• Discontinuing all use of the App

8.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• We cease operating the App
• Required by law or regulatory authorities

• You must delete the App from all devices
